Audi
Audi’s first fully electric model was the e-tron, a well built SUV that shows off lots of the latest tech such as semi-autonomous drive features. You can lease this car with a 71kWh battery pack that provides 194 miles of range or a 95kWh battery pack that'll allow you to go 255 miles on a single charge.
The Audi e-tron GT is a premium EV that rivals Porsche's popular Taycan. The GT exudes luxury and offers an impressive 294-mile range.
Audi's Q4 e-tron sacrifices a little practicality in exchange for a stylish rear coupe roof. As SUV coupes go, the Q4 e-tron is one of the most refined and established around. Even the basic entry-level 35 models are capable of going around 217 miles between charges.
BMW
The BMW i3 is now a very established electric vehicle that remains a great choice if you’re looking to go green. Its 190-mile range is more than enough for day to day driving. The German manufacturer's latest models might be more technologically advanced but the i3 remains a well-crafted car.
At the other end of the spectrum, the BMW iX3 is a large powerful EV, that looks a lot more like a standard petrol or diesel SUV. Essentially the iX3 is a fully electric X3 crossover. The battery on this car is capable of a 286-mile drive between charges, which can be charged via a rapid charger from 0% to 80% in around half an hour.
The BMW iX draws similarities to Tesla's Model X. It's big and bold with a striking external appearance. Built upon a bespoke EV platform with a top quality cabin design and a lightning-quick 0-62mph of 4.6 seconds. It can be leased in either a 70kW or 100kW battery, with the latter providing up to 370 miles and around 500hp.
BMW's i4 intelligently combines aspects of its most popular models and rolls them into one refined EV. 358 miles of range and a premium interior pits the i4 up against the popular Tesla Model 3.
Citroen
Citroen's first all-electric car since the C-Zero comes in the shape of the impressive e-C4. Comfort and practicality are paramount on this clean SUV, with the french car offering 380 litres of boot space. The e-C4 can comfortably cover over 200 miles on a single charge too.
Cupra
The Cupra Born is an extremely convincing electric hot hatchback. It shares the same platform as the very popular Volkswagen ID.3 but offers styling and drivetrains that gives this vehicle a sporty edge on its cousin. The highest spec model can go from 0-62mph in under 7 seconds and can travel 335 miles on a single charge.
Unfortunately, at the time of this article release, the Cupra Born is not yet available but we are sure that when it is it'll be a very popular EV option.
DS
The DS 3 Crossback is another French EV that has a focus on comfort. Its distinctive looks could divide opinions but its sub-9-second 0-62mph and 200-mile range are sure to impress most.
Fiat
The Fiat 500 is an iconic Italian city car. Its charm has been recaptured in this efficient EV that can travel a respectable 186 miles on just one full charge.
Ford
The Ford Mustang Mach-e not only looks impressive but it comes with some exciting specifications too. The first fully electric SUV from Ford can produce anything between 260hp and 470hp depending on the variant in question. The range-topping model can also manage a huge 379 miles on one charge.
Honda
Honda managed to create a retro EV with a futuristic twist. The Honda e manages to be innovative in many ways with its high tech cabin and fancy wing mirror cameras. This city car has a range of 132 miles.
Hyundai
Hyundai's Ioniq is a very solid option if you're looking for your first EV. This car has been around for a few years now in fully electric and hybrid forms. The Premium SE model will give you 193 miles of range as well as good levels of practicality for family travelling.
The Hyundai Kona has quickly become a popular EV option. It's available in many specifications with the longest range trim being able to offer 300 miles on a single charge. The 64kWh variants are compatible with 100kW charging which means you can power up the Kona from 0%-80% in under 60 minutes.
The Ioniq 5 is one of the latest and most exciting models to be released into the EV market. It's an SUV that's packed with the latest technology, including two huge screens and touch-sensitive controls. Its biggest battery (72kWh) variant can provide 300 miles of range as well as the option of all-wheel drive.
Jaguar
The I-Pace rocks the prestigious Jaguar badging with pride. The luxury car manufacturer's first EV attempt did not disappoint with the I-Pace showing off a 290-mile range and a 0-60 below 5 seconds.
Kia
The Kia Soul name has been around for some time, but a recent refresh saw the SUV receive the same 64kWh battery pack as the e-Niro, giving it a 280-mile range. The styling was refreshed too which might not be to everyone’s tastes but it remains a competitive EV in the compact crossover segment.
If you're looking for a refined compact electric SUV with a lengthy range, then the Kia e-Niro might be the vehicle for you. The e-Niro can go an impressive 282 miles on just one charge.
The Kia EV6 is another exciting EV that was released towards the end of 2021. It sits on the same platform as the Ioniq 5 but has many stylistic tweaks that make it a more engaging drive. Its bigger battery also means that it has a 328-mile range as well as some slight performance upgrades.
Lexus
The Lexus UX is the first all-electric model from the Japanese manufacturer. It shows off many premium qualities and a 54.3kWh battery that can provide a 196-mile range as well as DC fast-charging.
Mazda
The MX-30 is Mazda's first full production EV. It's a compact crossover that draws similarities to the CX-30, but with a more aerodynamic and efficient design. Its tiny rear doors might not be for everyone but the MX-30 sets itself apart from other EVs in its class with its unique design. Its 124-mile range is reasonable for a car of its size but not quite at the heights of some of the more innovative electric models on the market.
Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes' EQA looks very much like a smaller version of their EQC model. This is good news for buyers who want a more refined and compact electric vehicle when choosing their next lease. The EQA offers a healthy 264-mile range too along with its family practicality.
As well as being a larger version of the EQA, the EQC is Mercedes' take on the Audi e-tron. A commanding SUV that's one of the finer luxury EVs you can lease. It comes packed with the latest technology and a 255-mile range.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS is essentially an electrified S-Class. It has its own bespoke electric platform that comes with a range of battery options that can provide 453-miles of range at its peak. This is one of the most efficient and refined EVs that money can buy.
MG
The MG ZS is an excellent value EV, that despite its small battery size, can travel 163 miles on a single charge. It's very spacious too which makes it an electric vehicle that all families should consider when looking to lease.
MG continues its trend for affordable and effective EVs with the MG 5. It might not have the most appealing appearance but the MG 5 can offer up to 250 miles of range on its bigger battery trims. On top of this, you'll get a car with a large and spacious interior.
MINI
MINI has been offering up good quality hatchbacks for decades and now it is doing so in electric form. The MINI Electric can give you 145 miles of range between charges as well as that classic MINI charm we all know and love.
Nissan
The Nissan LEAF was one of the first EVs to get wide-reaching attention and success. It's a reliable all-rounder that comes with adaptive cruise control and Nissan's e-pedal. Nissan's latest bigger battery trims mean the LEAF is capable of an impressive 239-mile range.
Peugeot
Peugeot has made a couple of EVs based on existing cars in its range, the first being the e-2008 SUV. This comfortable car sits above a 50kWh battery that gives the e-2008 a respectable 206-mile range.
Peugeot's second EV is the e-208. A smart looking supermini that's a great option for urban driving. It shares the same platform as the popular Corsa-e and can travel 217 miles on just one charge.
Polestar
The Polestar 2 is one of the more attractive and innovative EVs on the market and offers stiff competition to Tesla's Model 3 as a result. The Single Motor Long Range trim offers a huge 335 miles of range.
Porsche
Porsche's entry into the EV market comes in the form of the sporty Taycan. You'll struggle to find an electric vehicle with quite as much appeal as the Taycan that boasts blistering 0-60s and an electric range pushing 300 miles.
Renault
If you're a first-time car buyer who wants to go green then the Renault Zoe could be the car for you. Despite other electric vehicles perhaps offering more innovative features, the Zoe still provides a very good range of 239 miles that's more than enough for day-to-day driving.
SEAT
The SEAT Mii is another brilliant budget EV supermini. It's not the most flashy of vehicles but comes with a very competitive 160-mile range.
Skoda
The Enyaq iV is Skoda's first fully electric EV. It shares the same platform as the Volkswagen ID.4 and comes with a huge 585-litre boot. On top of this, the biggest battery trim offers a brilliant 331-mile range which makes the Enyaq iV one of the most capable EVs you can lease.
Smart
Smart has ditched its petrol power for a new electric line-up. The fortwo is the smallest of the models and packs a 17kWh battery capable of a 75-mile range. This won't sound like much, but the fortwo is very much at home in the city.
The Smart forfour adds two rear doors to its city car formula, but just like the fortwo, this vehicle contains a small battery that can provide around 70 miles on a single charge.
Tesla
The Tesla Model 3 has been a huge hit since its release in the UK. The Long Range model offers an excellent 360-mile range and its 0-62mph easily clears 5 seconds. It has some of the most advanced tech features of any EV, that includes a semi-autonomous driving aid.
Tesla's latest EV is the Model Y. The larger Model Y offers much more space when compared to the Model 3. It offers all the great technology that you get on the other models, as well as a 337-mile range on the top-end trims. Leasing a Tesla will get you one of the most cutting-edge cars on the market.
Vauxhall
The Vauxhall Corsa-e strongly resembles the hugely popular Corsa. It's powered by a 50kWh battery that allows the Corsa-e to travel 209 miles on a single charge. This car is fun to drive and comes with a good level of kit.
The Vauxhall Mokka-e is a stylish EV with a 200-mile range and compatibility with 100kW rapid chargers. Rapid charging can recharge the battery from 0% to 80% in just half an hour.
Volkswagen
The Volkswagen ID.3 was the first vehicle to kickstart Volkswagen's established ID range. This popular EV can be described as an electric reimagining of the VW Golf. The ID.3 has a very clean design with many derivatives and battery sizes. Its range-leading Tour Pro S trim can go 338 miles on a single charge.
Volkswagen's ID.4 adds interior space and comfort to the ID blueprint. It uses the same platform and interior technology as the ID.3 and so offers similar levels of performance as a result. Its biggest battery trim will give you 320 miles of range on a single charge.
The Volkswagen ID.5 continues to add interior space to the ID models with the ID.5 being a larger version of the ID.4. This coupe-SUV has a 311-mile range and is available in a performance GTX trim too.
Volvo
Volvo's first fully electric vehicle is the XC40 Recharge. Its been a big success so far and has proved popular with families. The Recharge model comes with a 78kWh battery and two electric motors that combine to provide 402hp. A 260-mile range is pretty impressive too.
The C40 Recharge will become Volvo's first electric-only model and has many similarities to the XC40. Its specifications are especially good, with a 0-62mph that beats the 5-second mark and a 261-mile range.

There are many more electric vehicles being lined up for a 2022 release. As the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and electric vehicles edges closer, car manufacturers will be increasing their EV efforts, so expect even more innovation soon.
