New Toyota C-HR Prologue Concept

Toyota is previewing its second generation C-HR with the C-HR Prologue concept. The production version of the hybrid crossover is expected to be showcased next summer.

New Toyota C-HR Prologue Concept

Despite being just a concept, the Toyota C-HR Prologue should closely reflect the design of the finished version that’ll be shown next year.

The Prologue has a sharp, pointy exterior with a ‘hammerhead’ grille that gives the car a mean, shark-like appearance. The C-pillar has been shifted back slightly to give a little more light into the rear which is said to make the interior feel more spacious.

At the back, a long and thin tail light wraps around the exterior and a striking two-tone paint job shows the rear infused in a gloss-black finish that extends up to the C-pillar. A third colour choice also covers the roof spoiler.

The same TNGA platform is going to be utilised meaning the two generations of C-HR will have a similar wheelbase.

One of the most significant updates to the next-generation C-HR is that on top of self-charging hybrid capabilities, there’ll be plug-in hybrid models too.
