The Pear, which sits below the Ocean in Fisker’s line-up, will be manufactured in the United States through a partnership with Foxconn, renowned for its extensive iPhone assembly facilities in China.
Fisker has engineered the Pear with a lightweight steel body structure and claims to use 35% fewer parts than a traditional electric vehicle. Despite its compact profile, the Pear is relatively spacious, measuring 4,550mm in length — surpassing the Nissan Qashqai.
On top of its lightweight and cost-effective design, the Pear boasts a range of innovative features tailored to simplify urban driving.
To facilitate easy access to the boot in tight parking spaces, the Pear features a unique "Houdini trunk." Rather than a conventional opening, both the rear glass and boot lid smoothly retract into the rear bumper.
At the other end, a drawer-like front boot, or 'frunk', is designed to hold smelly items such as hot takeaway food or sweaty gym gear. This compartment keeps odours out of the cabin and comes with an insulation option to keep food hot or cold.
On the inside, the interior prioritizes practicality over opulence with a van-style front bench that can accommodate up to six passengers.
The Pear offers a Lounge Mode where all of the interior seats can be folded flat to create a spacious area for relaxation. A 17.1-inch rotating screen is also available as an option for added entertainment.
There are two battery options, delivering estimated ranges of 198 or 348 miles, which are available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations. The entry model is projected to accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds, with a high-performance Extreme variant also prepared.
More performance stats and battery details will be revealed in time. Manufacturing and deliveries are anticipated to commence in July 2025.
