Based on the Jeep Avenger, the 600e is a compact crossover with e-CMP2 underpinnings that borrows much of the Fiat 500’s retro city car styling.
Its size and profile are reminiscent of the 500X but with an exterior that fits with the firm’s new design direction. The Fiat logo has been replaced with the ‘600’ model numbers in chrome.
The 600e will get power from a 54kWh battery that’ll take the EV 249 miles on a single charge. 100kW charging compatibility means that you can give the 600e an 80% charge in around 30 minutes.
A single front fitted motor also provides 154bhp which means the 600e will take about 9 seconds to go from 0-62mph.
A 360-litre boot and useful interior storage compartments mean the EV is a good fit for families. Inside a 7-inch digital display and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, which is the same as what can be found on the Jeep Avenger.
You’ll be able to get the new Fiat in four colours: Sun, Sea, Earth, and Sky, but not grey. Fiat has said that they won’t make any new grey cars.
Deliveries on the new model should begin early next year with pricing starting around the £36,000 mark.
